Job Description

Senior Tax Accountant - ACCA qualified Accountant - Ellesmere Port - 6 month client-site contract - Hybrid / Flexible Working - up to £70k (pro rata)We are looking for an ACCA qualified Senior Tax Accountant to undertake a 6 month contract on behalf of an international accountancy firm at their clients site in Ellesmere Port. You will report directly to the CFO of the £multibillioncompany, whilst also reporting to the Tax Partner of the accountancy firm.Whats on offer: Our client is offering a competitive salary up to £70k (pro rata) and hybrid working with approximately 3-4 days in the office and 1-2 days working remotely. Our client would also consider a 4 day part time role for the right candidate. The contract couldbe extended beyond 6 months.Key responsibilities as the Senior Tax Accountant will include:

  • Undertaking all tax related activities for the client
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Producing tax calculations
  • Communicating with HMRC as required
  • Preparing corporation tax computations
  • Reviewing files prepared by team members if needed
  • Identifying potential tax issues
  • Maintaining all documentation
What were looking for in suitable Tax Seniors:
  • ACCA qualification
  • Tax qualification is preferable
  • Solid experience in Tax Accountant roles
  • Demonstrable experience preparing tax returns
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • IT literate
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate numerical skills
  • Proactive team player
  • Leadership / management skills
