Job Description

We are exclusively recruiting for an award winning, global PLC for a Senior HR Specialist. The company is exceptionally welcoming and they provide ongoing support and continuous training.The purpose of the role is to provide transactional HR specialist support to the business across the main workstreams of Management information, HR Administration, Compliance and Benefits.The duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing specialist knowledge to the Transactional HR team in agreed areas throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Applying HR policies & processes appropriately, ensuring the integrity of HR practices within the business
  • Provide first line customer focused support to people managers and employees.
  • Ensure compliance at all times in order to reduce risk.
  • Work with compliance team on ensuring requirements are reviewed and suitably updated, agreeing validity of proposed controls and documenting processes.
  • Support, share knowledge and contribute to overall team skills development.
  • Support the implementation of Workday enterprise platform
  • Provide and continually develop all aspects of HR administration including the following:
  • Responsibility for managing the new non employees (Contactors) tracking process
  • Responsibility for activities to support the Strive wellbeing platform implementation and ongoing programme
  • Processing employee changes, starters and leavers in the HR system and through the HR hub
  • Managing employee files and completing filing tasks
  • Ensuring that HR communications are disseminated correctly including managing the HR Intranet
  • Acting as note taker and supporting meetings including issuing letters in employee relations matters in accordance with company procedure
  • Supporting with the new starter, onboarding and life cycle experience
  • Supporting production of reporting on HR metrics, and other requirements as identified
  • Administering time and attendance records and supporting HR Ops team in managing absence.
  • Support Reward manager with right to work activities including short term business visitors and migrant worker monitoring
  • Support HR Ops team in managing contractor records
  • Embedding of Workday in to the UK HR ways of working
  • The Person
  • Must have up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • In depth knowledge of electronic maintenance of payroll, HR and time & attendance records (ideally ResourceLink, Workday or Kronos)
  • Experience of managing absence processes
  • Experience of developing and providing management & business information
  • CIPP/CIPD qualification or membership desirable
  • Microsoft office user to intermediate level
  • Organised and able to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Experience of working within a HR function in a similar environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • A working knowledge of right to work legislation and requirements
  • Strong communication skills and approachability
  • Great attention to detail; ensures precision and accuracy in tasks undertaken
  • Able to liaise effectively with peers to organise and share work priorities
  • A common sense and pragmatic approach
  • A great team worker who will perform in line with the companys values
