Job Description

Oracle Support SpecialistLocation: CheshireSalary: £35,000 - £40,000My client, UK’s foremost sustainable biodiesel producer and fuel supplier is currently looking for an Oracle Support Specialist to join their growing team.Based in their Cheshire Office and reporting to the Strategic Service and Supply Chain Director, the Oracle Support Specialist will work as part of a small but supportive team within the IT department. The Oracle Support Specialist will play a key role insupporting key applications delivering a high level of service to the business in assisting with pre-release testing, implementation, deployment and documentation as well as providing robust support to end users.You will be used to working in an Oracle ERP environment and have at least two years’ experience in an Oracle Cloud environment and to be considered for the role, you should further have the following skills and experience.

  • Several years’ work experience in a support role or end user in an Oracle ERP environment.
  • Specialist knowledge of Oracle Cloud applications, software and operating systems.
  • Experience in Enterprise level systems support or development.
  • Experience running basic queries in SQL - an asset.
  • Proven experience of creating Oracle OTBI reports.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software installationtechnology and processes.
  • Experience in project start-up, deployment and on-going support.
  • Ability to write detailed, complex documents for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with theability to learn independently, research products and technologies using the internet & documentation.
  • Can assume a technical leadership role.
  • Be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Handle confidential information in line with the client’s data security protocols.
  • Experience of Manufacturing/Financial Services/Technology/Logistics industries
    • Any experience of using Q-Pulse and the ability to support the configuration and development of new Oracle modules would be particularly desired as would experience of using problem solving techniques to drive improvements.Oracle Support Specialists should also be prepared to travel to other group sites in Scotland and Amsterdam from time to time.
