Job Description

RotheramCarrington Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting a local manufacturing business based near to the Ellesmere Port area for an experienced Management Accountant. This organisation is a subsidiary of a £40m turnover businesswith several Companies currently in the Group, and growing. This is a great time to join this business as they they have robust plan for growth. Our Client is ideally looking for a qualified management accountant on a trajectory career path, with previousexperience in manufacturing, or a similar sector.This role will report to the Financial Controller based at Head Office and be responsible for producing the management accounts for 3 Companies in the Group which is likely to increase over the next 2 to 4 years. Ideally this role will progress to FinancialController for the North West area.Responsibilities include:

  • No 1 finance person on site responsible for a finance assistant
  • Full production of monthly management accounts to P&L for 3 Companies in the Group, providing commentary to the leadership team
  • Full ownership of the balance sheet and monthly reporting
  • Cash flow reporting, including rolling 12 month forecast.
  • Budgeting & forecasting
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of statutory returns VAT, PAYE and other related HMRC requirements
  • Liaising with external auditors at year end completion.
  • Responsible for product costings and bills of materials
  • Revenue recognition understanding is desirable
  • Administration and preparation of payroll (likely to be outsourced)
  • Continuous process improvement following ERP implementation
  • Adhoc projects as required by Financial Controller
Skills/Experience
  • CIMA/ACA/ACA Qualified Management Accountant, will consider part-qualified if proven experience in the full production of management accounting from the manufacturing sector
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing business is essential
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills essential
  • Sage Payroll would be beneficial
  • Can do attitude and strong team player
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent attention to details
Salary/Benefits
  • £35,000 to £48,000 per annum
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
  • 37 hours per week
  • Free parking
