Job Description

Credit Controller needed for a busy industrial firm in Ellesmere Port to work on multiple country ledgers. Youll be chasing new & bad debts, analysing payment history, producing management reports on debts & payment trends and managing clients credit limits. English to mother tongue is essential, though bi-lingual in Dutch, Swedish or Norwegian would be a bonus. Credit Controller experience is essential.Credit Controller:

  • Proactively chasing and reducing debt including aged debt
  • Reporting on outstanding debts
  • Analyse credit agency reports/published accounts
  • Analyse adverse trends in customer payment performance and advise sales of proposed corrective actions
  • Handling requests for adjusting the default credit limit from the Account Managers
  • Advising Sales Team on credit worthiness of the client
  • Setting & maintaining credit limits and ensuring credit insurance is maintained
  • Pro-actively reviewing and reporting on credit limits
  • Coordinating cash collection activities with customer service department
  • Advising Sales Team about customer payment behaviour on a structured basis
  • Manage credit limits of existing customers to minimise exposure to bad debt
  • Define credit limits for new customers based on credit agency reports/published accounts
  • Liaise with legal advisors and third party agencies regarding default customers and monitor results
  • Intrastat and EC Sales reporting
