The role and responsibilities of an Application and Infrastructure Team Leader:The Application and Infrastructure Team Leader should support the delivery of our cloud infrastructure and automation platform to support the agile software development process. They will take pride and ownership in monitoring and maintaining the healthof the platform whilst enabling new releases in a scheduled and automated manner.This role also includes:
  • Playing a leading role in scaling out and providing continuous improvements to our delivery pipelines.
  • Working with the Business Systems team to create a DevOps strategy that supports the scalability and reliability required for the business growth
  • Working with the Infrastructure, Development and QA teams to provide best practice guidance on automation, reliability, and scalability within our cloud estate
  • Actively encouraging the adoption of new technologies and techniques with the Solutions Architect.
  • To implement and maintain zero downtime deployments and along with or Solutions Architect and Lead Developers move us towards full CICD.
Skills and experience required to be a successful Application and Infrastructure Team Leader:Essential
  • Excellent communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders across the entire organisation.
  • Ability to lead on DevOps strategy and influence the wider Technology team in DevOps best practices.
  • Broad experience of Full-Stack software development.
  • A passionate technologist who thrives on solving problems and is continuously looking to improve.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with the Microsoft Azure Platform.
  • Experience of setting up a Continuous Delivery pipeline including automated testing and deployment.
  • Ability to provide Development support on best practices to suit the scalability and reliability needed for the business.
  • Prove problem solving ability. Be able to quickly understand our application landscape and work with Development, Infrastructure and Solutions Architects to diagnose and fix issues.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an Agile manner.
Desirable
  • Experience of working with Azure DevOps
  • Experience of taking an organisation on the journey towards best practice DevOps processes
