Job Description

Accountable Recruitment are currently working with a growing and market leading client client based in Ellesmere Port for an Accounts Assistant for a 12 Months FTC basis.This role will be responsible for processing high volume invoices, payment runs and reconciliations and undertaking a wide variety of accounting responsibilities. The position will cover a broad area of responsibilities over the Sales, Purchase & Nominal Ledger Supporting the Sales Ledger as follows:

  • Monitor and review of outstanding payments with prompt resolution of queries
  • Raising sales invoices/credit notes
  • Posting daily banking on the ledger
  • Supporting the Purchase Ledger as follows:
  • Handling supplier invoices on a daily basis, ensuring matching to purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Monitor and review of outstanding invoices with prompt resolution of queries
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Nominal Ledger Duties:
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Processing of monthly journals to the Nominal Ledger
  • Monthly reconciliation of Contra Accounts
  • Processing of Monthly Bank Currency Revaluation
  • Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience
  • Strong understanding of the workings of an office
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Knowledge of Oracle
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - to deal with external contacts
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and sometime implement own processes.
