Mechanical Design Engineer (Autodesk Inventor)Salary - £30k - £40k p/aHours - Full Time, 35 Hours per WeekLocation - Elland, West YorkshirePermanentAre you an enthusiastic and creative Mechanical Design Engineer who is looking for an opportunity to add to your portfolio and develop within an innovative SME Stafflex are currently working with a local company, specialising in tackling design challengesencountered in creating sustainable green energy. From interpreting survey data to creating accurate CAD models and developing custom detailed drawings for both customer and production use, you will be critical in overseeing all aspects of 2D and 3D CAD Designand contributing to the final product output.Experience of Mechanical FEA is an advantage. You will be working in a dynamic fast paced environment, delivering outputs to meet business needs.Key duties of the Mechanical Design Engineer will include:- Liaise with experts to meet a range of design challenges for materials, bearings and seals within a pressure envelope- Formulating a strategic and logical design- Formation and refinement of solid models for FEA processes and design assessment- Exacting Bill of Materials and manufacturing drawings- Taking ownership with the prescribed domain- Influence over the entire product lifecycle, innovating, evolving, validating and supporting manufacturing challenges- Working with project plans and critical timescalesKey Skills and Experience of a Mechanical Design Engineer:- Excellent communication skills- Possessing a good attention to detail- A Masters degree or equivalent experience within Mechanical Engineering- Ability to adapt and work under time-bound constraints- Proficient use of Autodesk Inventor- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar roleIf you are interested in the role, and have relevant skills and experience, please apply to the role or call (Ext.4) and speak to Mulenga at Stafflex Engineering.
