Job Description

HPC Laser are the UK’s leading supplier of laser cutting and engraving machinery and CNC routers. We have been in business for over 13 years and have supplied around 5,000 machines into education, signmaking and many other industrial and domestic applications.An opportunity has arisen within our Elland-based production facility for a Logistics Planner.This exciting role involves liaison with the sales, support and production departments in order to schedule the activities of 5 installation and service engineers throughout the United Kingdom and occasional overseas planning. The role requires that maximum economic use is made of each engineers time through efficient work and route planning.Additional responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Preparation of customer quotations for machine deliveries, installations, training, servicing and breakdown callouts
  • Administration of all engineers logistical requirements such as hotel bookings, flights, toll charges and vehicle expenses
  • Providing verbal and written updates to customers awaiting engineer attendance on site
  • Produce timely machine and component picking lists for warehouse personnel use
  • Produce the required delivery notes for engineers to coincide with engineers collecting machines
  • Administration of engineer vehicle checks in line with company policy and current legislation
    • The successful candidate will be a naturally organised person, hard working, dependable, equally able to work to on their own and as part of a team, have initiative and think on their feet, have an professional verbal and written manner, be courteous and above all have a desire to go above and beyond to provide an excellent customer experience.
