Job Description

Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a Graduate Operations Assistantwith advanced excel skills.Our client is based in Elland, theyre a well-established Group of companies, specialising in the distribution of products, they typically import product into the UK and re-sell to UK customers.Theyre looking to recruit a bright, motivated candidate, ideally a graduate with some work experience who is looking for a long-term career opportunity with the opportunity to progress within the businessThe role is very focussed on stock management, analysing data and producing various reports. It is very varied and involves taking on lots of projects for the business.Responsibilities:

  • Creation of new product codes
  • Dealing with price request for non-standard products
  • Stock audits, checking actual stock counts match the stock on the system
  • Managing quarantined stock, investigating any damages or quality issues
  • Dealing with discontinued stock items
  • Producing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for various stakeholders, eg: stock valuation reports, sales reports, financial stock holding reports, waste packaging report etc
  • Various projects to help out companies in the group, broad scope of projects
  • Helping out the purchasing office with processing purchase orders when holidays effect staffing levels
  • Dealing with insurance and auditor enquires etc
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification - could be a degree in Business, Maths, Finance, Science, Supply Chain, Logistics or any other subject that has given strong skills on spreadsheets, data management, IT, organisational tools, project management.
  • Bright, motivated, friendly personality, with confidence to speak to key contacts within the business and outside the business
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically excel, ability to write formula, use SUMIF, COUNTIF etc and understand complex formula, to understand where figures are being pulled from.
  • Ability to us use excel to calculate Mark Up, Margins and Exchange rates etc.
  • Good Mathematical reasoning and ability to analyse data
