Job Description

Family Liaison OfficerLocation:Eight Ash Green, ColchesterBasic Salary:£20,585 to £22,469Hours:Full time37.5 hours per week, term time only plus 3 training daysReference: D204Autism Anglia’s Doucecroft School is a vibrant, dynamic and highly supportive independent day and boarding school for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition.Our school provides a bespoke, individualised education to children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition and has a proven track record of dramatically raising the outcomes for the students who have completed their education with us.The Family Liaison Officer will work closely with students and their families providing support and promoting independence and school attendance. This role will include supporting transitions both into school and to other provisionsMain duties:

  • To liaise with parents, carers and other professionals over matters regarding school attendance
  • To ensure student attendance records, manual and data base are completed appropriately and maintained
  • To record the outcomes of planning with parents/pupils and school staff to improve attendance, maintaining efficient and contemporaneous notes and records.
  • To liaise with new students, their families and schools to support a smooth transition into Doucecroft alongside managers and administration staff.
  • Experience:As Family Liaison Officer you will be responsible for administrative aspects of student welfare This will involve communicating with key people to the students and recording and ensuring relevant information is kept up to date and liaising with other professionals. You will be expected to work at a fast pace in a busy environment in the school.Benefits:
