Job Description

Key Account Operator Egham £25K to £28K per annumMy client is seeking a Key Account Operator to join their team in their Egham office. The Key Account Operator will help oversee the shipment process. You will be supervising staff to ensure tasks are assigned, monitored and completed in an efficient andeffective manner. The Key Account Operator will:

  • Obtain rates & quoting all modes of transport both international and domestic in a timely manner
  • Manage the smooth day to day running of the account
  • Email and telephone correspondence with overseas agents, UK client and internally
  • Track shipments and keep the customer updated throughout
  • Oversee the Invoicing - ensuring PO numbers are referenced
  • Pass supplier and overseas agents invoices
  • Update customer with flight and sailing schedules
  • Inform the customer of any delays and provide solutions
  • Ensure internal SOPs are followed correctly
  • Deal with invoice queries
  • Book courier shipments
  • Produce required export / import documentation
  • Build rapport with customer and internal departments
  • Ensure CargoWise data is accurate and up to date
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Be open minded and willing to learn
  • Be committed, proactive and able to deal with challenging scenarios
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Be able to respond to immediate customer requests
  • Be highly organised
  • Be able to work well as part of a team or individually
  • Have Air and Sea freight knowledge
  • Ideally have experience of Cargo Wise
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm. This is an office-based role.Benefits include: 23 days holiday which increases to an extra 5 days periodically, pension and healthcare cash plan.
