Job Description

If youre passionate, creative and organised, this is a great opportunity to expand your career.There is a client-facing aspect to this role, too - over time, you will contribute to the support team and on occasion, reply directly to customers to explain where theyre going wrong. You should feel confident in your abilities to learn as much as youneed to be clear on a situation and then be able to communicate it back to customers.The job involves extensive time working at a computer. The selected candidate must pass a background check before officially joining. Moreover, a flexible work-from-home policy is available following probation.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop bug fixes and new features for the company platform
  • Co-ordinate with the team to ensure good forecasting of deliverables
  • Consider the right tool for the right job and come forward with suggestions of how best to implement your tasks
Required Experience:
  • User Interface, which is made with React and SASS/SCSS
  • APIs, which are ExpressJS apps on NodeJS
  • Github for code management
  • Basic experience of working with CLIs in Linux
  • Solid grasp of how the web works, including HTTP requests, cookies, APIs, single-page apps, etc
  • Familiarity with varying data file formats - CSV, JSON, XML
  • Ability to navigate new npm modules to help find solutions
Desirable Experience:
  • Cloud hosting platforms - Microsoft Azure (Function Apps, CosmosDB, Storage Blobs/Queues, Virtual Machines) and Cloudflare (Workers, KV)
  • Databases, MS SQL Server and Clickhouse
  • JIRA for work management
  • Slack and Microsoft Teams for collaboration
  • Use of generative AI, e.g. ChatGPT as a coding assistant
