Job Description

Overview Add an annual turnover of $22.5 billion to a rental and leasing fleet of more than 1.7 million vehicles spread across 9,500 locations worldwide and you get Enterprise Rent-A-Car – a business that’s grown into the largest global mobility provider in the world.We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic communications professional to join our EU communications team to promote and protect Enterprise Holdings’ reputation and support overall business growth. Enterprise Holdings operates world-leading mobility brands including Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental.The Employee Communications Manager will lead the internal communications efforts in Europe, working with other communications professionals to develop and execute communication strategies/campaigns to effectively enhance our culture and promote employee engagement in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany and Spain.The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, analytical capabilities, and proven success in developing and executing impactful internal communications strategies. The successful candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to influence and build strong relationships across a matrixed and complex business structure. Candidates should also have ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and delivery of high impact internal communications strategies to inform, influence, inspire and engage employees, ensuring messages and programmes are consistent with overall company business goals, objectives and values. Communication strategies will focus on engaging Enterprise’s 9,000+ employees in Europe, reflecting the market’s unique culture and heritage.
  • Build strong relationships with senior level executives (including SVP EU, Country Heads and HR) to offer strategic counsel and deliver effective internal communications strategies in support of key business priorities.
  • Create and manage robust EU internal editorial calendar that informs, inspires and connects employees to the company’s mission, vision and business strategies. Ensure consistency of key messages across communication channels and ensure connectivity to global editorial efforts.
  • Identifying effective communication channels and content opportunities to best reach the European employee base, including both administrative and field employees in all corporate owned countries.
  • Develop enhanced strategy to drive EU adoption of company’s digital employee app, Pulse. Contribute to the story and content development process for Pulse.
  • Be an integral part of the communications team, providing input to define, refine and measure impact of communication strategies. Be a collaborative, reliable team member, stepping in to support team initiatives as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key external creative agencies and freelancers.
  • Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in a related internal communications role.
  • Experienced at delivering high-impact internal communications campaigns gained either in house at a large multi-national business or at an agency
  • Confident communicator with ability to counsel and influence.
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, with agency-management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain proprietary/confidential information and act with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects and tasks in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Team oriented.
  • Flexibility to adapt to change.
  • A knowledge of the following languages would be beneficial, but not essential - French, German and Spanish.
