Job Description

Pertemps are recruiting for a Translator (Gaelic Speaker) to work on an assignment at our well-known Public-Sector client based in Edinburgh.The post holder will contribute to significant translation duties by translating documents into the Gaelic language for colleagues across a wide range of areas.Starting ASAP - 3 Month assignment - possible extension£21.56 per hourHybrid working - Edinburgh based (Remote may be considered)37 hours per weekResponsibilities

  • Gaelic language tasks such as grammar, terminology, and research.
  • Supporting colleagues with Gaelic tasks such as translations of documents and internal and external communications.
  • Contributing to Gaelic aspects of policy development
Essential Criteria:
  • Excellent written and oral communications and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and build effective working relationships.
  • Great attention to detail, with the ability to identify and source information to produce accurate written and numerical work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of a team, sharing information and communicating effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills including the ability to manage challenging workloads and competing deadlines, whilst being able to respond flexibly to changing priorities.
