Trainee Tax/Finance AdministratorCentral Edinburgh based role | hybrid working available once training completedFull Time role | 33.75 hours per week | Monday to FridayPermanent roleSearch are delighted to be working inn partnership with an industry-leading Scottish Legal firm to recruit this role for their head office in Edinburgh City Centre. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary for Trainee level, excellent benefits& hybrid working as part of their role following the completion of their training.This is a Trainee Administration role focused on Tax & Finance which would ideally suit a candidate with some previous Administration experience looking to make the move into a Finance-based Administration career. There will also be excellent opportunitiesto develop in this role & progress with the company - including fully funded study support for industry qualifications.Duties involved in this role will include:* Providing processing & administration support to the wider tax team * Management of a small client allocation, maintaining good relationships with clients* Ensuring files, records & paperwork are accurately held & up to date * Providing low-level advice on tax* Reviewing client affairs in relation to tax liabilities* Liaising with HMRC on various tax matters* Preparing and checking dividend documentation* Complete Capital Gains Tax calculations * Completing Tax Returns for individuals, trusts and estates, including obtaining information from a variety of sources* Ensuring all returns are completed within timeframes* Arranging tax payments before due dates * Various other ad hoc Tax Administration duties as requiredIn order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:* Previous Administration experience, preferably from within a Finance or Professional Services setting - this experience is essential* Strong numeracy & problem solving skills* Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both written and verbal * Solid IT Skills including MS Office packagesIf this is the role for you, apply now!Please note that only applicants who have the required skills and experience detailed above will be considered for this role.Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
