Your future employer is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Service Engineer to join their growing team, primarily working on a new contract for one of their clients servicing vending machines and coffee machines. The ideal candidate will be someonewho is self motivated and pro-active, and has some hands on electrical experience. They are offering a company vehicle, a company pension scheme and 31 days holidays. Given the nature of this position, we are offering a strong package of £24.5k per annum forthe ideal candidate. This position is Monday to Friday, and everything is paid door to door with unlimited overtime available, which pays a higher rate at time and a half. Expected earnings for the first year are £28k+, due to the nature of the role.The successful candidate will be covering the central belt and will need to be based close to Edinburgh. The expected duties for the successful Trainee engineer are as follows:* Full training programme, manufacturers training courses support in the field from your senior engineer* Working on a variety of ovens, mostly pre planned maintenance* Training staff on sites showing the operational features of the equipment once it is installed* Liaising with the service desk to ensure calls are completed* Working towards a first-time-fix* Providing cover to other areas as required (due to holidays, sick days, etc.)Skills and experience required:* Basic understanding of electrical engineering* Excellent communication and customer service skills* Excellent problem solving skillsFull in-house training will be provided for this position, as will all tools, and a tablet and phone, however previous electrical experience or a qualification is required.
