Job Description

Test AnalystCompetitive SalaryRetailEdinburgh, Middlesborough or Letchworth (Hybrid with 1 day in office per week)A successful retail group are looking to recruit a Test Analyst to join their growing testing team.As a Test Analyst, a successful candidate will devise, document and execute tests on multiple cross platform systems in order to verify and validate solutions to meet the requirements of the business. This role will also work closely with the Test Manager,to whom a candidate will report progress, as appropriate, using the agreed formats, escalating issues appropriately.Skills / EnvironmentA suitable candidate will have experience:

  • Creating manual test scripts.
  • Executing manual tests.
  • Testing web-based solutions on multiple OS, browsers and devices.
  • Testing bespoke solutions.
  • Test Estimation.
  • Using test management tools, e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM.
  • Using test automation tools.
  • Beneficial but not required skills include:
    • Selenium
    • Soap UI/ Ready API
    • Provar
    • Salesforce
    • ISTQB/ ISEB qualifications
    • BrowserStack
Role OverviewThe role will involve:
  • Preparing and maintaining test plans.
  • Preparing manual test scripts.
  • Systems testing on both new systems and modifications to current systems.
  • Conducting system testing and data verification.
  • Conducting integration testing at API Level.
  • Developing and running automated testing routines using suitable automation tools, e.g. Selenium, Provar, Ranorex, Tosca, etc.
  • Creating SQL to queries and setting data up.
  • Testing of a diverse range of software applications.
  • Developing integration tests using appropriate tools e.g. Soap UI Postman etc.
