My client is searching for a Solicitor, Contentious Construction, 2 yrs+ PQE to join their Edinburgh, Midlothian offices.The Role• Applicants should hold 2 years and above post-qualifying experience and should be able to demonstrate a strong interest or a proven ability in managing and resolving disputes/problems on behalf of clients in the construction sector. • Construction law knowledge and experience are preferred but not vital. • The role might be equally attractive to a commercial dispute resolution lawyer who wishes to focus on the construction sector.Key Responsibilities• Acting on behalf of employers, contractors, professional consultants and insurance clients on a broad range of construction disputes, dealing with a variety of contracts (bespoke and standard forms). • Advising clients on all aspects of construction dispute resolution including pursuing and defending claims in the Sheriff Courts, Court of Session, adjudications, arbitrations and mediations as well as a focus on providing advice to clients on constructionissues as they arise on live projects.Experience Required• Minimum of 2 yrs post qualifying experience• Previous commercial construction experience preferred but not essentialBenefits• An inclusive working environment.
