We are looking for a SQL Server developer to join the team to help develop a new strategic application, Workplace Insights, that sits on a SQL Server based data warehouse that ingests data from numerous systems across the group and curates it in one placefor use in Tableau reporting, analytics and insight.We work closely with a range of stakeholders across the group including teams from Engineering, Delivery and Proposition to enhance the breadth and depth of data in dashboards, MI and reporting.Key Accountabilities* Work as part of the SQL Server development team on the end to end development of new and existing data feeds, data processes, data layers and reporting.* Analyse source data to determine the feasibility of using the particular data feed within data solution.* Design and develop robust, scalable and maintainable ETL processes to move and manipulate data.* Design and develop database objects, including stored procedures and functions.* Optimise database structures, architecture and code to maximise performance, scalability and reliability.About you* Passionate about data, have an aptitude for problem solving to provide simple and effective solutions.* Embraces working as part of a team and collaborating with others* Eagerness to learn new technologies and new ways of doing things with a growth mindset* Engage, build and maintain relationships. You can communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.* Great attention to detail.* Actively innovate and enhance architecture and processes.Were also looking for you to have experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the following areas:* Querying SQL Server databases (preferred), or any other relational databases (e.g. TeraData, Oracle etc)* SQL Server development covering development of databases, stored procedures and performance tuning* Loading and transforming data* Working with large and complex datasets* Developing reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI or Tableau* Knowledge of relational database concepts and methodologies* Experience of agile scrum methodology
