JOB AD:Senior Software Test EngineerHighly Competitive Salary plus Employee BenefitsLocation: EdinburghPlease note: Domestic and International travel may be required for this role. (travel will be within Europe, the Americas and Asia)As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will be part of a growing and dynamic team that primarily focuses on developing software platforms and applications. You will be responsible for designing and implementing test harnesses to verify ARM Cortex-M basedembedded firmware and applications as well as PC based software tools for production environments and applications for customer use.RESPONSIBILITIES:Creation and development of test specifications and plansCreation and development of hardware and software facing test suites and the environments under which they execute.Integration of hardware and softwareTest automation and scriptingManual testing (when automation is not possible)Generation of test reports, metrics and KPIsGenerate test related documentation such as setup instructions and test procedures.Instruction and supervision of test engineers.To be considered for this position you will need:Bachelors or Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Software Engineering or a related field.Cross platform capabilities, able to perform work on a Windows or Linux environmentBasic object-oriented programming knowledge.Familiarity with hardware communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART.Demonstrable software and scripting language skillsStrong automation experienceExperience of using test frameworksFull software lifecycle testing experienceAble to use oscilloscopes, logic analysers and other hardware related inspection tools.
