Through continued growth they are looking for a Software Research & Development Engineer to join their growing team in their brand new research centre.The ideal candidate will be degree qualified have experience of C/C++ software design and experience of RF engineering.In this role you will support the design, build and deliver of the latest generation of smart wireless devices and solutions.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a technically interesting and forward thinking company in a varied and challenging role where they reward their staff well through share options and a competitive salary.The Role:*Lead development of highly efficient network protocols for proprietary RF subsea networks*Create innovative algorithms to optimise communications across subsea network nodes*Develop the simulation models of algorithms before implementing them for field use *Analyse data from real-world deployments to both validate and improve modelsThe Person:*Bachelors degree (Masters/PhD preferred) in Computer Science or related field*Experience of software design. Track record of understanding new concepts and coming up with innovative ideas*Technical Skills likely to include elements from:- Deep understanding of low-power RF protocols- Embedded C/C++ - Designing for low-power micro-controllers - Model-based design practices (Matlab/Simulink)Reference Number: RTR86601 Required skills
