Job Description

Our client is currently looking to hire 3 Regulatory Reporting Consultants/Analyst to join a busy finance team for a short period to support the business developments and workload.Location: Edinburgh / Hybrid workingDuration: 3 MonthsRates: Day Rate - Negotiable Depending on experience (Inside IR35)Job Requirements:Working closely with the existing regulatory reporting manager, ensure delivery of the Banks prudential regulatory reporting obligations to the PRA/BOBoE/EBA etc within an appropriately controlled environment, alongside production of internal analysis relatedto the ongoing monitoring of capital adequacy and liquidity.You will maintain regulatory interpretations and policies for the Bank in compliance with prevailing regulations and guidance, with timely horizon scanning and implementation of forth-coming developments.Ensure that the regulatory reporting function matures in line with best practice and regulatory expectation, including driving improvements to systems, processes and controls where appropriate.Knowledge / Experience Required:

  • Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience
  • Significant financial/regulatory reporting experience and knowledge of IFRS and regulatory reporting for banks.
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting in the financial services sector, preferably in retail banking.
  • Some knowledge of secured funding structures would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, e.g. able to translate complex / technical issues to meet the audiences competency level.
  • Highly numerate, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
