Job Description

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Onboarding Project Manager to join our Macquarie team, based in Edinburgh. This role is suited to someone who has experience in managing projects from start to finish, including complex processes and tasks thatrequire exceptional resolution skills. Your main responsibility is to manage the onboarding of new employees into Macquarie, and to provide a positive experience for our candidates. You will be the main point of contact for issue resolution, general queries, and complex onboarding requests. You will thrive on building positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including the recruitment team, technology teams, and hiring managers. A high level of communication skills is crucial to this role, as well as the ability to identify key issuesand provide resolutions. Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Facilitating a smooth onboarding process for all new joiners
    • Owning and maintaining a central spreadsheet of new starters
    • Monitoring candidate background checks and contracting issues
    • Providing updates on upcoming starters to recruiters
    • Capturing issues and working out a resolution path for recurring problems
    • Act as an escalation point for the recruitment team to key stakeholders in HR operations, employment screening, data management, devices, and mailroom
    • Source of knowledge for the recruitment team and business
    • Induction training for new employees and training on process changes, where required
    • Problem solving and pivot strategy for possible lockdowns or high-volume intakes
Skills and experience:
    • Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment
    • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
    • Exceptional communication skills and assertiveness
    • Ability to drive change with experience in process improvement
    • Advanced with Microsoft Excel
