We are currently looking for an Associate Acoustic Consultant to join our team in RMP. Since 1997 RMP has been operating as an acoustic consultancy division of Edinburgh Napier University practicing from offices across the UK. We provide expert advice onsound insulation, architectural acoustic design, industrial noise reduction, environmental noise and vibration control to a number of high-profile clients. Our consultants are key to the success of over 600 projects per year including the previous flagshipprojects including development of Robust Details, Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, the Stirling Prize Winning Magna Centre in Rotherham, and the Scottish Government offices. For more information, please visit www.rmp.bizThe roleAs an Associate Acoustic Consultant, you will be responsible for a range of consulting projects including residential, education, healthcare, and commercial developments. You will undertake sound insulation testing, environmental noise surveys and potentiallyair tightness testing. You will also assist the consultants in carrying out their consultancy and research on a range of exciting projects across the UK, particularly through the development of acoustic models using software such as CadnaA, ODEON and Insul.There will also be the opportunity to undertake a fully funded IOA diploma and other relevant training as required. This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UKs leading acoustic and energy research and consulting teams.Who are we looking forYou will ideally have an undergraduate degree in the following disciplines; Building Engineering, Acoustics, Energy, Environmental Science, however alternative relevant experience will also be considered. You should have previous experience within an acousticconsultancy.
