Relief Delivery Driver - Job Role:Pentland Component Parts Ltd is a specialist in vehicle parts distribution and has a vacancy in the position of Relief Delivery Driver.The company is looking for a friendly and outgoing individual, ideally with previous delivery driving experience, to join our team.As a Relief Delivery Driver, your duties will primarily be delivering goods to customers and between branches. This position would ideally suit, but is not confined to, someone who is retired or looking for reduced working hours.Your main branch will be as listed above, but you will be required to fill in at other branches occasionally to cover holidays etc. Reporting to your Line Manager at the branch you are based, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Delivering car parts and other goods to garages, workshops and vehicle dealers.
  • Picking customer’s orders.
  • Collecting returned goods from customers.
  • Collecting payments from customers.
  • Shipping inter-branch stocks between our locations.
Relief Delivery Driver - What we need from you:Our ideal candidate will have a driving license with delivery driving experience and will:
  • Have a good working knowledge of the local geographical area.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Dynamic, outgoing and energetic.
  • Organised with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A team player with the ability to also work independently.
  • Able to lift heavy items without frequent assistance.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
