Undertakes & manages testing of more complex code changes across multiple types of testing to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards thatour customers expect, based on deep domain and technical expertise. Understands the importance of testing and the Quality Framework within LBG and educates other change disciplines. Looks to automate testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining thetest automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team. Participates in & establishes Communities of Practice, Guilds and improvement working groups and shares learning to members of their team. Undertakes mentoring and coaching as well as additionalleadership activities. Keen to deepen their technical knowledge and understanding as well develop, practice and demonstrate the workplace skills and behaviours required for this job role. A great teammate who can establish relationships and work efficiently with others to help lead and deliver high quality technical solutions.About you:You will be accountable for running and leading testing across our Monthly Release cycle, assuring the quality of delivery into these Releases and managing the raising of defects and backlog items for addressing either within the current Sprint or for prioritisationfor future sprints. You will be working with a peer or reporting team of other Quality Engineers and will need to be detailed yet flexible as befits Agile delivery.Where youll make a difference:

What we need from you:
  • Experience of test automation QE experience in shift left engineering using latest cutting edge technology earlier in the life cycle and set code review best practices on BDD scripts in both desktop applications and mobile applications.
  • A deep understanding of Java / JavaScript/ NodeJS / Postman / TDD/BDD Best Practices or alternatively strong hands-on with Java programming and capable of building the test framework from scratch
  • Previous experience of performance testing
  • Strong experience in Appium, webdriverIO, gulp, cucumber and API automation solutions such as Apickli
  • At least one mobile cloud tool testing experience such as perfecto, headspin or saucelabs
  • Excellent understanding of programming principles such as engineering re-usable code, best practices such as accessibility automation, early performance proving are essential.
  • Expertise in DevOps tooling for execution of automation tests such as Jenkins, GIT, Gerrit
  • Experience implementing a BDD frameworks in an agile environment and having contributed to test automation scripting hands-on with any programming language
It would be great if you have:
  • Experience of managing, maintaining, and executing suite of performance tests
  • The passion to lead and mentor other Engineers within the team, driving a collaborative engineering culture
  • A good working knowledge of Identity & Access Managements concepts/frameworks (such as ForgeRock AM and DS)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly present ideas and provide direction to others
  • Extensive experience in problem solving and issue resolution by following key strategy principles in judgement, influence and drive the teams towards delivery
