Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Aberdeen, is currently looking to recruit 3 x Project Managers for initial 3 month contracts on a rate of £400-£450/day (outside of IR35). These roles will be remote working.Responsibilities:- Deliver short projects focussed around supporting the rollout of revised governance and reporting arrangements and the business planning activity for FY2024/25 all to be completed by end March 24. This will involve utilising PPM methodology and ensuring relevantdocumentation is maintained and delivery tracked.- Work across a range of corporate teams to develop coherent and consistent processes and procedures for the new governance and reporting activity and the delivery of the business planning process. - Provide direct support to portfolio managers and wider corporate colleagues to meet the corporate reporting timetables and the required commissions and resulting analysis to inform the hierarchy of reporting and governance requirements. - Identify, document and provide recommendations to take forward improvement activity to enhance opportunities around delivery and resourcing. - Collect and cascade where key efficiencies/changes could be made (in the form of recommendations).- Build relationships with internal stakeholders to enable relevant project and portfolio management processes are effectively communicated and delivered, and delivery teams are adequately supported.Essential Skills:- Proven work experience as a Programme or Project Management Officer or similar role and familiarity with the PRINCE2 and/or Agile project management methods, as well as risk management, quality assurance control and other project management processes.- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to deliver in a complex project environment with minimum supervision, while working to often challenging targets and deadlines.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all forms of communication methods and tools, and the ability to build good working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders, both internal and external.- Attention to detail with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and proactively provide recommendations on how these can be delivered.If you would like to hear more about these opportunities please get in touch.
