Job Description

Network Manager - Edinburgh - To 50K plus benefitsLoriens Edinburgh based client - a rapidly growing organisation in the Telecoms domain with exciting plans to double their client base by the end of next year - is currently looking to bolster its team in the shape of a couple of a key new additions totheir Network team.On this occasion, theyre looking to recruit the talents of a Network Manager with a breadth of knowledge and skills across the domain, and the ability to manage key 3rd party personnel, vendors and suppliers (including outsourced Network Operations Centrestaff) to ensure SLAs are met, tickets are handled, and that the company can continue to efficiently offer networking solutions for a range of customers across Scotland.The skills/knowledge were looking for:

  • Broad knowledge of Networking/Telecomms
  • Ability to work closely with external partners at any level to ensure network/support-related service level agreements are met
  • Strong awareness of best practices, particularly where it comes to infrastructure management/control/monitoring
The kind of duties involved:
  • Build on and ensure continuing strong relationships with 3rd parties/tech vendors/suppliers
  • Liaise with the internal tech team to make sure escalated tickets are allocated and resolved
  • Craft and use dashboards to report on network uptime/other factors
  • Ensure tickets/incidents are resolved and push Root Cause Analysis to nip them in the bud
  • Craft KPIs and reports, and instil a strong TechOps stack, to continuously review and improve network performance, resolution processes, and operations
  • Manage relevant tech projects
