Job Description

Our client is a fast-paced technology company revolutionising the mobile development world with a truly disruptive product portfolio. Due to expansion, they are currently looking for an experienced Java Developer to join their team in Gateshead on a permanent basis.This role can be done remotely with travel to the Gateshead office 2-3 times per week once office working has been resumed post COVID. Located close to Newcastle train station, commuting can be easily achieved.About the roleThis is a Full Stack JavaScript Developer role with the following responsibilities:

  • Analysing requirements
  • Scoping, designing and implementing complex software solutions
  • Debugging and resolving live incidents
  • Contributing to the full stack from web application to micro-services
  • Delivering within agreed timescales, to set procedures and standards

  • At least 3 years’ experience developing web applications using JavaScript
  • Experience with software development tools, including the latest IDEs and Git
  • Experience with Database development, using one or more database technologies
  • Working knowledge of frameworks across multiple languages
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a wider Agile team to deliver well-structured code
  • The willingness to take ownership and be proactive in solving problems and maintaining best practices
    • Any of the following will be a big advantage:
  • Experience with Cordova and/or Ionic
  • Working knowledge of micro-services architecture
  • Experience with React or VUE frameworks
  • Someone experienced in front end development with a passion for design would be beneficial but not essential
