Job Description

IT Systems Specialist- Hybrid (Edinburgh) - £50.000Job Title: IT Systems SpecialistLocation: Hybrid Working (2 days in Edinburgh office)Salary: Up to £50,000 (Depending on Experience)We are seeking an IT Systems Specialist to join our clients team, providing essential technical support. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering 1st-3rd line IT support.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote and on-site IT support to teams across multiple locations.
  • Administer productivity and collaboration tools, ensuring effective interoperability.
  • Manage requests and incidents using ITSM systems and adhere to SLAs.
  • Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, including IT inductions.
  • Deploy, manage, and track IT assets.
  • Contribute to the development of business policies and processes.
  • Participate in internal audits for ISO 27001/SOC2 compliance.
  • Dedicate time to maintaining end-user cyber security systems.
  • Monitor network traffic, assess vulnerabilities, and conduct backup and disaster recovery tests.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Security team to ensure secure IT system configurations.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:Non-Technical:
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Continuous learning and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to provide occasional off-hours support.
  • Experience in a regulated business environment.
  • Cultural adaptability and collaboration with diverse teams.
Technical:
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 and SOC2 compliance control frameworks.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Windows, Linux, and macOS administration.
  • Extensive experience in administering and supporting productivity and collaboration tools.
  • Certification or significant experience with Google Workspace.
  • Hands-on experience with Atlassian products, certification desirable.
  • Knowledge of IT security and compliance, including MDM and SIEM.
  • Experience in configuring data protection functionality.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and cloud principles.
  • iOS and Android troubleshooting skills.
