Job Description

From building the world’s first end to end green hydrogen system, from turbine tip to burner in the home, to evidencing the suitability ofour network for green gases, wherever, whenever, by 2026.We have an exciting new role for a Hydrogen Project Engineer responsible for the delivery of the work within customers properties to deliver pioneering hydrogen heating solutions for the H100 Project.What will you be doing day to day

  • Drive and maintain high performance with regards to Safety, Engineering and Value for Money
  • Managing teams of contract engineers carrying out surveys and installations
  • Planning installations and appointments and liaising directly with customers
  • Deliver 10 out of 10 customer service
  • Establish and maintain highly effective relationships with all partners and stakeholders
  • Support the role out of training and development of SGN teams working on the distribution network.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new standards for use of Hydrogen heating systems.
What you’ll needThe job holder will be degree qualified in relevant discipline or HND/HNC in a relevant discipline.We’re also looking for;
  • Experience working within the gas industry within distribution or in heating engineering environment
  • Experience of responding to Gas Emergencies, Metering Faults and system breakdowns
  • Training and qualifications for work on customers heating systems (Gas Safe Registration)
  • Knowledge and experience of Gas Industry Legislation and standards or a similar environment
  • Track record of delivering excellent customer service
  • Excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Contractor supervision and management experience
  • A full and valid driving licence is essential.
