Job Description

Groups Reservation ExecutivePermanentFull TimeHybridEdinburgh£25,000-£30,000We are delighted to be working with a fantastic client who specialises in Travel as an Inbound Tour Operator/DMC with offices in London, Dublin, Florida, Monaco and Edinburgh to recruit a Goup Reservations Executive on a permanent basis. We are looking foran experienced travel professional to join our Scottish team providing ground handling services for groups travelling throughout the UK & IrelandThis is a full time, permanent position for someone looking to join a dynamic team. The role is based in our Edinburgh office although some home working is considered outside the summer months.Duties Include:

  • To work with the Contracting Team and liaison with the Operations Department
  • To build and maintain a great working relationship with our hotel suppliers
  • To find space at hotels at the budgeted rate for ad hoc groups
  • To assume responsibility for placing groups and confirming with the group operator
  • To keep your product knowledge updated via research, site visits and buying trips.
  • Take responsibility to update hotels with current running number and release unused rooms.
Experience/Skills Required:
  • Experience from hotel reservations/sales or similar hotel background
  • Excellent knowledge of Scotland as a destination and its tourism products
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Strong IT skills, comfortable with use of computers and MS Office packages.
  • The ability to multi-task, be level-headed and full of enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbally
  • Good numerical skills
