Job Description

Job Title: Community Liaison OfficerSalary: £25,000 - £30,000 dependent on experienceLocation: EdinburghJob Type: Temporary - up to 54 weeks from January 2024 (Flexible)About ExcalonExcalon is a privately owned company established in 2002. With recent new business wins with multiple major clients adding to our existing portfolio of framework agreements and ongoing Major Projects, this is a particularly exciting time to join our business.The RoleWe have a new role for a customer liaison officer to join us on our Gorgie to Telford Project in Edinburgh. The work we carry out can affect communities, customers, and stakeholders in areas where activities are taking place. This role is therefore crucialto the successful delivery of the project whilst considering the needs of our client, customers, and the community of Edinburgh.The PersonWe are looking for an individual that is naturally proactive and organised, with the ability to build and maintain robust relationships with our client and customers within the community of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for communication,customer liaison and complaints throughout the lifetime of the project.High Level Responsibilities

  • Maintain full and open communication during the lifetime of the project
  • Deal with any issues arising from residents during the course of the project.
  • Prepare letter drops for local residents to inform them of road works, diversion signs, and to provide contact numbers for residents and commuters to raise any issues or ask any questions
  • Answer incoming telephone enquiries and resolve issues
  • Provide excellent customer service in line with the Excalon Company ethos
  • Attend client meetings relating to coordination, cooperation, consultation, and communication throughout the project works.
  • Inform the client of any enquiries, complaints, and requests for information.
  • Maintain and update customer records accurately and in accordance with GDPR
  • Refer any issues relating to work to an operational Project Manager or Ops Manager
  • Support the operational teams with client communication
  • Organise contract and project documentation and maintain client records
  • Provide any documentation or management information required for client meetings.
  • Carry out general office administration duties required from time to time
  • Support the Project Manager with any additional duties required to meet the needs of the business
Ideal Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong customer champion
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good influencing skills
  • Good ability to understand client needs
  • Previous client liaison / customer service experience
