We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst for our public sector client based in Edinburgh. This is an exciting contract role to join a fast growing team on a 3 month contract. This contract is suited to a Business Analyst with transformation/education/changeexperience.- 3 Month Contract, with likelihood of extension- £475-£525 a Day (INSIDE IR35)- Hybrid working 2 Days in office / 3 Days from homeEssential* Expert knowledge of Organisational analysis in a complex devolved organisation with:* Experience of working in a Higher Education or alternative environment* The proficient ability to lead the analysis and development of Business Requirements Document (BRD) to capture the current state and future state from the perspective of providers of services and researchers (customers)* Proven ability to develop process and information architectures and more detailed Process Lifecycle maps, process models and information flows* Significant and expert experience of process mapping (current and target) and service requirements gathering* The ability to design and facilitate workshops with staff of all levels in the University to understand the capability, process and service improvements needed to drive the Research Support transformation* Significant proven ability to scope, plan and execute tasks for end-to-end operational processes* Excellent & demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate problem statements into analysis requirements* Excellent requirements management skills, and ability to simplify complex problems, and process into component parts, explore and evaluate them systematically* The ability to perform (and supervise) gap analysis, requirements gathering informing organisational solution design leveraging insights from the Organisational and Process analysis to enable transformation and improvements* Proficient ability to identify areas within the Processes that can lead to increased efficiency and productivity* The ability to support the design and implementation of future state process model diagrams* A flair for creativity working to develop options and recommendations using a combination of process change, people change and technology improvements to deliver required capability improvements* Exceptionally strong communication skills with the ability to:* Deliver excellent inter-personal & communication skills with strong end user (researcher) and service provider focus, to be able to communicate to various stakeholders in a clear, concise and logical manner* Adapt communication style* Influence, engage and challenge senior leaders and work as a trusted partner with research support colleagues* Work with subject matter experts to review requirements and operational needs, prioritise of activities, identify new opportunities, implementation activities, rollout, and provide ongoing support* Communicate project milestones and project status, and identify and escalate issues to Project Managers* Proven ability to gather and analyse information necessary to develop business cases and benefit management plans* Ability to perform Benchmarking analysis and to inform design solutionsNice to have skills and attributes for success:* Experience of gathering requirements for Target Operating Models (TOM)* Change Management Methodology experience (Waterfall and Agile)* Process Led Design and the use of Process Discovery tools using `BPMN 2.0 standards* Lean Six Sigma experienceMorgan Hunt is a multi-award-winning recruitment business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
