Job Description

Our client, a public sector body, seek an Associate Delivery Manager, for an interim period of 3 months.This role is based in Edinburgh, with travel to other offices across Scotland together with remote delivery via various communication platforms.This role attracts a day rate of £450 (inside IR35) umbrella.Main duties:

  • To co-ordinate the development of workstreams working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Work with the Unit Head, Service Owner, Product Manager and wider team to make clear, pragmatic and manageable plans for service delivery using programme and project management disciplines
  • Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently
  • Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage (alpha/discovery)
  • Analyse and evaluate pros and cons and identify risks in order to make decisions that take account of the wider context, including diversity and sustainability
  • Identify the main issues in complex problems, clarify understanding or stakeholder expectations, to seek best option
  • Review, challenge and adjust performance levels to ensure quality outcomes are delivered on time
  • Balance competing priorities, working with the wider team to prioritise workload using appropriate techniques
  • Develop and maintain the rhythm of delivery, including all appropriate agile ceremonies
  • Line management of other team members
Essential criteria:
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability in managing different project methodologies in a digital programme e.g. Waterfall, Lean and Kanban
  • Experience of creating clear, pragmatic and manageable plans for project delivery, and tracking and reporting on progress
  • Experience of balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity within a digital environment
