Job Description

Area Sales Manager- Industrial Distribution, ScotlandGrundfos are looking for an Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our UK, Ireland and Benelux Industry team. This role will be primarily responsible for our Industrial Distribution customers in Scotland, North East UK and Northern Ireland.The Grundfos Industrial strategy is focussed on Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Mobility vertical markets, creating demand for Grundfos products and services with end users via value based selling with an emphasis on energy and process optimisation.Who are Grundfos Pumps Grundfos Pumps Ltd are a UK leader in the supply and service of pumps and pump systems for domestic and commercial building services, and process industry applications, as well as being a major supplier to the water supply and treatment industries. We arepart of the Grundfos Group that employ 19,000 people in sales and production roles in 80 companies worldwide.What is the role aboutThe primary responsibility for this role is to drive sale through developing new sales opportunities as well as maintaining recurring business with existing customers. The ASM must be aware of development in the market and customers.As an ASM you must participate and drive trainings for customers and potential new customers to creating awareness of Grundfos offerings.Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently develop and grow sales within own area of responsibility.
  • Develop market knowledge to successfully drive commercial activities.
  • Develop knowledge in the market on Grundfos solutions
  • Identify different stakeholders and utilize the right approach to drive sales.
  • Ensure quality opportunity pipeline and strong hit rate.
  • Introduce new product and solutions to the customers.
  • Monitor and report on pipeline, order intake, sales, profitability and drive debt collections within own area.
  • Knowledge sharing with the team
  • Drive yearly negotiations with the Distribution Partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure we are perceived as highly customer Centric and collaborative ensuring one Company Culture.
  • Frequent travel within the role will be required
What experience/qualifications are we looking for
  • Engineering background/or qualification combined with at least 3 years of relevant experience from a large company working in a similar role.
  • Experience of working with Distribution Partners
  • Pump knowledge or similar
  • Successful experience in previous external sales roles
  • English proficiency
