Do you have excellent Application Support experience Have you supported an enterprise size complex application Would you like to work for a highly successful international software company Head quartered in Edinburgh my client is looking for an experienced 3rd line Application Support Engineer.Initially working from home.In this role you will be monitoring and maintaining their database environments in both cloud and on premise environments as well as documenting the technical aspects of their software implementations. The team supports Windows, Unix & Linux environments.Your responsibilities include:· Gain and maintain a deep understanding of implementation, configuration and architecture of their entire software suite.· Have a deep understanding of the functionality of the application database configuration.· Create lab environments to replicate existing or planned customer environments and technologies.· Work with internal teams as well as customers and prospects, to prove specific technical database configurations.· Work with the Problem Management function to identify gaps and errors in technical knowledge and address these through Problem and/or Change managementYour experience should include:· Experience of installing / maintaining MS SQL and Azure SQL · Manage load and performance issues with databases· Administration, configuration, deployment and sizing of 1 or more J2EE systems such as Wildfly or JBOSSFor more information on this role please get in touch asap.
