Start date: January 2023£26,460 - £34,631 per annum (dependant on experience)52 weeks a yearA specialist college in Sheffield (S21) is looking for a permanent Personal Tutor to join their fantastic team. The students here have autism, SLD and PMLD and the college caters to the specific needs of each individual. The college aims to "to deliver high-qualityeducation and support that maximises life opportunities for our learners".To be successful for the Personal Tutor role, it is essential that you have the following:

QTS or QTLS
Experience as a teacher of learners with autism, SLD and PMLD within a special education setting
Experience teaching a vocational curriculum in a similar organisation
A full UK driving licence

Your responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Demonstrate high quality teaching for learners with complex and profound needs
Deliver personal care and support which meet or exceed learners requirement, promoting independence throughout
Attend moderation meetings for all qualifications to ensure the sharing of good practice
Liaise with parents/carers on learner issues and build effective relationships and to professional manage and resolve learner issues and concerns
Undertake training as and when necessary for your job role
To promote the vision, culture, and ethos of the college
