Permanent Vacancy: Production Operative - initially based in Abercarn, but will be moving to a new facility in Ebbw Vale around December/ January.Salary - £23,712 per annumWorking Hours: 48 hours a week4 x 12 hour day Monday - Thursday 4 x 12 hour nights Monday - Thursday Acorn is recruiting on behalf of a leading and innovative employer that specialise in the design and manufacture of a range of injection moulded inner bore and extruded outer edge protection for steel coils. The hiring company is an established manufacturer who has invested in purchasing a new factory at Rassau Industrial Estate, Ebbw Vale. They are one of the world leaders in their field and are a very stable employer. We are currently looking to recruit several permanent Production Operators who can help support increased manufacturing demand. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for:* Operating & running plastic reprocessing lines and manufacturing extrusion lines * Using granulators and shredder to reprocess clean material * Maintaining accurate production records * Working with other team members to achieve production goals. * Adhering to the health, safety and environmental procedures. To apply for the production operator position, you will need the following:* Production experience gained within a manufacturing environment * Experience operating machinery * The right attitude towards health & safety * Ability to follow processes and procedures * Forklift licence would be beneficial but training can be provided.
