Job Description

Our client is a well established and successful manufacturing business with a small and friendly team. As a finance manager you will be responsible for overseeing the finance department ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day tasks. You will also needto ensure all group finance requests/reports are completed in line with guidance.Skills Required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent IT skills (SAP experience desirable)
  • Hold relevant accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Significant technical knowledge and experience in accountancy.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience of managing other people.
Key Duties:
  • Preparation of monthly reports to group and local management.
  • Reconciliation of various accounts (inventory, fixed assets etc.)
  • Other monthly and quarterly finance reports (Balance sheet, Cash reports, KPI figures)
  • Preparation of annual and semi-annual P&L report packages
  • Cashflow monitoring and forecasting.
  • VAT reports
  • Preparation of budgets
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Back-up on payroll and accounts payable
  • Approval of rebate credit notes.
  • Take part in the appropriate training required to carry out the duties of the post and to enhance personal development.
  • Take responsibility for your own Health and Safety always ensuring that you comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Any other relevant task that is required
  • Ensure reports as stipulated by group finance are submitted in-line with Reporting target dates.
  • Ensure VAT Returns are submitted in line with HMRC deadlines.
  • Ensure that information is provided to the external auditors in line with agreed deadlines.
Full or part time will be considered, from 3-5 days.
