Job OverviewWe are looking for a Pharmacist to join us at Glyn Ebwy Surgery. This is a friendly practice with approximately 7000 patients. The practice is supported by 2 GP Partners and 1 Salaried GP, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Phlebotomist, 1 NCN Pharmacist and an experienced and supportive reception and admin team.We are situated on the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park with excellent road and rail links across South Wales.The post holder needs to be an experience registered pharmacist, who is an enthusiastic individual committed to working as part of a small team in a Primary Care environment.This is an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills and become a key member of our General Practice team. Practices are increasingly dealing with patients who have complex health care needs and they recognise that the quality of medicines management is vital to ensure safe, effective and appropriate prescribing.Main duties of the job – This part-time position has a salary of Band 7 to 8a dependant on experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate confidence to advise GPs and other practice staff, manage day to day prescribing queries and be able to carry out Clinical Audits. They will work collaboratively with the clinical and non-clinical team to meet the needs of our patients and sustain the strong ethos of the practice and our associated NCN.Applicants must have excellent communication skills and experience of working in a multi –disciplinary team. Good IT skills and access to own transport are required.Applicants are welcome from any Pharmacist who has a keen interest in supporting GP practices.
