Job Description

As a Receptionist, you know first impressions matter. Youll be a friendly face with a welcoming personality as you greet staff, visitors and service users to Hillview Hospital.In this role, working 19.5 hours a week, you will provide an efficient and effective service to visitors, staff, young people and their families. You will ensure that all staff, young people and visitors are welcomed to the hospital in a professional mannerwhilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. You will provide clerical support services to the administration and clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and making a positive difference to the young peoples experience.A range of training opportunities are available that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations.*2-week rolling shift pattern involving weekdays weekends and eveningsYour responsibilitieswill include:

  • Ensuring reception and waiting areas are kept neat and tidy at all times.
  • Greet and attend to all visitors and create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
  • Answer all telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner, record messages, and taking follow up action either personally or by ensuring that they are dealt with by the appropriate people.
  • Maintain business inventory checks such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment and maintenance.
  • Ensuring Keys, radios, personal alarms are appropriately signed out at beginning of each shift and signed back in at the end of shift in accordance with hospital security procedures.
  • Ensure that only approved drivers from the HR list check out and drive hospital vehicles for insurance purposes.
  • Ensure that an inventory of young people when admitted to the hospital is entered on Careblox.
  • Ensure that an inventory is entered on Careblox after Section 17 leave and following visits by family or friends.
To be successful in this role, youll need:
  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Previous experience in a similar role
