Job Title: Technical Operator Location: Ebbw Vale Reports to: Production Team Leader Purpose:Work as part of a production team to contribute to the effective and efficient site performance through the operation of production plant and equipment to manufacture Nickel Zinc cells and battery modules Key Responsibilities:* Operating production machinery including loading materials. * Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures * Completing routine maintenance activities on factory machinery including set-up and basic machine fault rectification. * Carry out production, inspection, packaging, and machine operation duties * Effectively monitor production equipment * Carrying out general duties as assigned by management Carrying out all aspects of line changeover with minimum downtime. * Follow established safety rules and regulations * Training colleagues on machineryKnowledge, Skills and Experience:* GCSEs or equivalent* Experience within a multi skilled manufacturing environment is desirable * Ability to learn quickly, and to work on own initiative. * Problem solving ability. * Demonstrates strong attention to detail, observing rules and processes affecting their work * Team-focused and self-directed* Comfortable working with others, open in their dealings with colleagues.* Contributes to team cohesion and calls on others for help when needed Environment, Health and Safety:* Complying with all relevant workplace policies, procedures and codes of conduct* Maintaining safe systems of work, work premises and work environment* Being held accountable for safety plans, actions and outcomes* Participating in regular safety reviews and training* Undertaking risk management activities to eliminate or control hazards and risks, including implementing changes to work methods and practices* Achieving compliance with relevant safety legislation and standards* Undertaking environmental, health or safety audits as requiredCompany Values:* Our people are fundamental to our success* We have respect for all our stakeholders* We provide a safe environment for our employees and stakeholders* We understand our customer needs and exceed their expectations through operational excellence* We demonstrate honesty and openness in all activities* We care, and act with integrity and ethics All employees are expected to adhere with the Company Code of ConductIf you are interested, please contact the Caerphilly Branch on or email Acorn Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
