Laboratory SupervisorEbbw Vale20068/617£35-38,000An industry leading recycling plant are looking to add a Laboratory Supervisor to their already successful team. Managing a team of three laboratory technicians, this role would suit an individual with management and lab experience working in the heavy industry.This is an excellent opportunity to work on a regular day shift in a world class recycling plant. This is an exciting time to join a well-established company with well-defined growth set out.Roles and Responsibilities:-Manage ongoing technical improvements within the onsite laboratory. -Supervise the laboratory team when undertaking routine testing and research projects. Check and validate data. Issue certificates of analysis. Investigate suspicious results and troubleshoot analyser faults.-Conduct system checks and calibrations on equipment in the Laboratory and perform maintenance to ensure that it is fit for purpose.-Support the Process Engineers by providing technical analytical support when required.-Collate and record daily analysis data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.-Review Safe Working Methods (SWMs) and produce new SWMs when required.Knowledge, Skills & Experience:-Experience working in the heavy engineering industry - steel, petrochemical, chemical, water treatment etc.-Lab technician experience -A degree in physical sciences or engineering or would be useful, but not essential.
