Job Description

An in house / technical internal Trainer Assessor is a specialist responsible for increasing a companys productivity by teaching new skills and to grow and retain knowledge to new and established employees. They use a variety of skills reflecting on theirsubject expertise and knowledge delivered either by face to face or blended learning techniques to achieve vocational and us of team exercises and practical sessions incorporating monitoring and assessing to archive occupational knowledge to update employeeson company and industry procedures compliant with current legislation in a safe learning environment to meet the individual employees learning needs.As a Utility Health & Safety Trainer Assessor your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for the delivery of specific practical hands on and classroom based training and designated training areas to a quality standard in a safe learning environment in line with industry and awarding accredited bodies standards.
  • Requirements to support the business to ensure the Health and Safety Work Act 1974, Regulations and associated guidance are conformed to in relation of training and establishing competence in given Job role.
  • Providing and delivering classroom-based training on all elements of HSEQ compliance.
  • Proactively monitor compliance to ensure that any training requirements are identified working with the Training co-ordinators and planners to deliver effective learning economically.
  • Minimising fines and non-conformances by supporting management and Operatives to reduce and eliminate workmanship issues.
  • Supporting the HSEQ team implementing company management systems and legislation compliance.
  • Work with awarding and accreditation bodies to maintain standards.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • A Good communicator with the Ability to deliver training in a "hands-on" practical and classroom setting
  • Level 3 award in education and training or similar, is desirable
  • Health & Safety Qualified NEBOSH , CITB SMSTS, IOSH or similar
  • FAW
  • Subject working experience
Qualifications to Teach:
  • EUSR Water Hygiene
  • EUSR Water SHEA
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Manual Handling
  • Spill Response
  • Vehicle Banksman
  • Desirable Qualifications:
  • High Pressure Water Jetting (Water Jetting Association)
  • NPORS Excavator & Dumper
Working hours:A typical working say is 9am - 5:30pm however if you are training staff who work in shifts, you may be required to work to their schedule.
