Job Description

Our Client is a fast growing speciality Manufacturer and Distributor of raw materials to the UK Pharmaceutical, Fine Chemical, Agrochemical and Veterinary markets.They are now seeking a Technical Sales Manager - Pharmaceutical Ingredients for their Life Science Division. This position will be home based with regular travel and location within the UK is flexible. The geographical territory is the UK. This position is a full-time permanent role and will report to the Division ManagerOur Client will also consider candidates for this position currently working in a technical role who have a desire to move into technical sales in the pharmaceutical marketKey Responsibilities

  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales budgets for a range of raw materials / pharmaceutical ingredients including Excipients, Intermediates and APIs at defined prices
  • Achieve beneficial customer relationships by making frequent customer and prospect visits to Pharmaceutical, Fine Chemical, Agrochemical and Veterinary companies
  • Add sales information to Customer Relationship Management software
  • Develop key markets through defined strategies
Qualifications and Experience
  • Educated to at least BSc level or equivalent in a relevant technical / scientific discipline
  • Technical salesperson conversant in and knowledgeable of the UK pharmaceutical ingredients market (including Excipients, Intermediates and APIs) with experience of UK companies and customers OR our Client will also consider candidates for this position currently working in a technical role who have a desire to move into technical sales in the pharmaceutical market
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Able to meet and exceed customer partnership expectations
  • Determination, energy, tenacity, enthusiasm and loyalty
  • Proactive and self-driven with strong time management skills
