The worker would be expected to cover duty 5 times a month which is either one or 2 days a week (depending on how the rota works out). They would be expected to be in the office on those days.
An experienced qualified Social Worker to be based within our Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) team (part of our Children Looked After and Leaving Care Service).
This role will be that of a looked after Social Worker but exclusively with unaccompanied asylum seeking children in the care of Nottinghamshire County Council via the National Transfer Scheme (NTS), spontaneous arrival presentations and adult asylum accommodationpresentations.
This role will be undertaking the main role of a looked after social worker and requirements for looked after children, as well as being responsive to the need to accommodate children via the NTS, age assessments responses and working within a small teamin relation to offering the best support and services to young people and their adjustment to life in the UK.
