Join us as an Operations Plant Protection Planner and start a transformation journey adding real purpose and direction to your career and feelgenuinely proud about what you do.About the RoleThe Plant Protection planner is responsible for the successful delivery of the plant protection process, processing the work assessed by the local plant protection team. The Operations Plant Protection Planner will need to work alongside the local plant protectionteam, and regularly interact with a broad range of Customers, Cadent colleagues, Stakeholders and Contract Partners. Adherence to the plant protection planning process is critical in ensuring Cadent remain compliant with its legal obligations and the rolewill support the operational network in delivering their workloads, business plan objectives and Customer commitments.The Plant Protection planner will be responsible for creating and providing efficient and effective plans for the EA Operate and Maintain Network Operational Field Force Resources, allowing this work to be successfully delivered in the most efficient way possible,whilst leaving appropriate allowances for any reactive workloads. This role will require the post holder to demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative whilst being part of the wider O & M pipelines department. As necessary the candidate will needto give direction and regularly interface and communicate with their plant protection and pipelines colleagues to achieve the optimal planning outcomes.The Plant protection Planner must be able to travel to network locations for operational or planning interface meetings to engage with and build strong stakeholder relationships.Key Accountabilities: To support the primary objectives to manage the efficient and effective planning, scheduling and dispatching of O&M plant protection workloads, achieving the required standards of service and service level agreements Responsible for following our company values whilst ensuring that Safety and Compliance are maintained Work closely to develop our Customers and Stakeholders relationships whilst supporting the delivery of Cadent and Operate & Maintain initiatives To be proactive in all aspects of the work and have the ability to identify opportunities for improvement Proactively manage workbooks ensuring key dependencies are updated on a monthly basis such as Skill Sets, Post Codes, and Resource Team Alignments Ensure that the on-day performance is tracked in order to understand and articulate variations to the plan Ability to build efficiently robust plans taking into consideration reactive work coming in, whilst proactively managing backlogs of work if applicable Support effective problem solving and learning amongst team members and key stakeholders Develop self through positive engagement in achieving and stretching targets and active development plans Responsible for ensuring that the short term business critical Operate & Maintain activities are formulated into a comprehensive, accurate and efficient plan Expertly use the GDFO systems alongside the department systems and processes to achieve regulatory and financial targets Responsible for ensuring that the Short Cycle Planned Work processes are adhered to, workbooks updated, and support the auditing regime where necessary To develop and maintain excellent Stakeholder relationships with key Stakeholders in and across Cadent via monthly face to face interface meetings Take a proactive role in BCM situations Take responsibility when required for holiday cover or as part of their personal development Organise and send out billing following work that has been carried out Keep track of invoicing, and report to line managers updates of finances brought in to the EA plant protection team.About YouYou will possess the following skills, knowledge and qualifications: Experience of operating in a regulated, safety critical environment Excellent communication and relationship building skills and a demonstrable ability to meet/manage Stakeholder expectations Experience of following and working to existing departmental processes, whilst identifying future process improvements Experience of maintaining operational processes through BCM events including the reviewing, creating and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPS) Proactive participant in Performance Excellence and Continuous Improvement within teams. The ability to collaborate with RM&D team as well as EA pipelines colleagues to achieve or exceed set targets and goals. Experience of working in a fast paced environment. Experience of adapting and embracing departmental change initiatives, both process and cultural. Excellent demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft packages particularly Excel and how they interface with Operate & Maintain processes Working knowledge of the IS GDFO suite of applications (desirable) Knowledge and understanding of Process Safety and its implications if not managed correctly. Personal and Process Safety focussed Methodical, organised, motivated, and resourceful, being able to demonstrate a passion for Performance Excellence and data quality Has the ability to work accurately within tight deadlines using their own initiative Demonstrate strong inter-personal skills with the ability to motivate and develop self Valid UK Driving Licence (preferred)to achieve common goals whilst building strong working relationships Ability to recognise a need to escal
