This Internal Controls Business Partner role is with a rapidly expanding and newly listed (FTSE 250) materials business in the East Midlands. Following 15 years of astronomic growth - both organic and acquisition driven - which has seen them surpass £1.4bnturnover, they have recently established a new Internal Controls function in readiness for the upcoming UK SOx regulations. The business have created this new Internal Controls Business Partner role to help facilitate those efforts. You will be required towork from the office near Castle Donington 3 days/week.Reporting into the Internal Controls Manager, and supporting the Head of Internal Controls, you will have varied role giving you exposure to all divisions of the business. You will perform process mapping and document controls across all business operationsthen work with the business to design new controls to cover any gaps and improve efficiency. You will also be actively involved in the testing of controls - both over financial reporting (ICFR) and operational controls - and work closely with control ownersto remediate any deficiencies. Other duties will include assisting the implementation of a new GRC tool, drafting Board papers relating to Cyber & AI risk, and managing the relationship with the outsourced Internal Auditors.You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA), preferably from a Big 4/Top 10 practice. Candidates making their 1st move into industry from an External Audit or Internal Audit background will be considered. Having exposure to testing SOx or ICFR controlsis highly advantageous, or be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the Internal Controls process. You must have full eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.The salary package on offer is £45,000-£55,000 + £6,000 car allowance (depending on experience) + 10% bonus.
